Facing a discussion on Art that is in danger of becoming too pretentious or boring, Brent deflects the conversation by pointing out that painting is hugely enjoyable and is in no more need of explanation and dissection than the song of the nightingale.
As a full-time artist, Brent devotes a great deal of time to painting but admits he gets easily distracted (he is a very sociable person and a lively raconteur) and, as he points out, painting is hard work and things can go wrong. But it is the joyous successes that spur him on and Brent will gleefully tell you of projects yet to come, the fruits of a truly individual and creative mind.
