| Based in: london My work explores architectural and spatial ideas. The paintings reduce formally to simple elevations and plans in an abstract sense. The images range from paintings of buildings and fragments of buildings, to simple organised objects and materials. The 'paintings', more figurative, investigate everyday life with an interest in communicating a spatial idea. The 'drawings' , more abstract and also painted, focus on space and surface described by colour, light and shadow and the relationships between objects and materials.
My work explores scale, space, structure and repetition. The work is moving away from architecture into something more intimate, exploring human relationships and situations. Light and space are depicted through the use of colour and form. The result is a unique viewpoint of everyday environments organised and designed by their inhabitants.
