USAGE
We are committed to maintaining a friendly website and to this end we will monitor the content of works submitted. All works are therefore subject to approval prior to them appearing on the live website and we reserve the right to edit or remove any item subsequently added. We make no representation that the operation of our website (www.august.uk.com) will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for the consequences of any interruptions or down time. SPECIAL NOTE ON COLOUR
Please be aware that the colours and appearance of an original artwork may vary slightly from the way it appears on a computer screen. All items featured on our website have been photographed at a high resolution but are displayed on the website at a lower level to enable acceptable download times. Most importantly, your individual computer monitor may well show tones and colours which vary from the original tones and colours of the artworks displayed on the site. This is because individual computer monitors have individual settings and preferences, and we obviously can have no control over those settings and preferences. If your monitor is set to 256 colours for instance, you will only get an approximate colour value. If your monitor is set to thousands or millions of colours, you have a better chance of seeing a more accurate image. The only way to see the true colours of an original artwork with total accuracy is by visiting the august gallery and viewing the work of art at first hand.
